A compact design with an outstanding image quality

Weighing only 735 grams, the GFX100RF is the lightest camera in the GFX series. Thanks to the newly designed 35mm F4 lens and optimized component arrangement, both the size and weight have been reduced.

Equipped with the GFX 102MP CMOS II sensor and the X-Processor 5, the GFX100RF/offers exceptional image quality. The high-resolution 102MP sensor, combined with advanced pixel and microlens design, ensures minimal noise, a wide dynamic range, sharp edge details, and precise autofocus.

High-end optical components

The GFX100RF features a new 35mm lens, providing an angle of view equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm camera. It’s ideal for various subjects, including landscapes, travel, portraits, and snapshots.

The lens design of the GFX100RF consists of ten elements in eight groups, with two aspherical lenses to correct sharpness issues and distortion, ensuring high resolution.

The Nano-GI coating, specifically designed for highly curved lenses, effectively minimizes unwanted reflections, even at the image edges, preserving sharpness and detail.

With a minimum focusing distance of just 20 centimeters, the lens allows for impressive close-up shots.

Combined with the compact body and the exceptional image quality of the sensor, it offers unique creative possibilities.

High-quality workmanship and innovative features

The top plate of the GFX100RF is crafted from precision-machined aluminum, while the lens ring, control dials, base plate, and other components are meticulously designed to provide a premium feel and a unique aesthetic.

A newly introduced control dial on the back of the camera enables easy switching between shooting formats. You can select from nine popular aspect ratios, including the new 3:4 and 17:6 options, depending on your subject and creative vision.

The digital teleconverter lever is located at the front of the camera, allowing for intuitive adjustments of the field of view. This feature gives you the flexibility to quickly adapt to various shooting scenarios. The 35mm focal length (equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format) can be digitally converted to 45mm, 63mm, or 80mm (equivalent to 36mm, 50mm, and 63mm in 35mm format).

Advanced technology and functionality

The fixed focal length of the GFX100RF plays a key role in its compact design. By utilizing a leaf shutter instead of a focal plane shutter, the camera reduces the flange focal distance, allowing for a more efficient arrangement of components and a smaller overall size.

This leaf shutter also enables flash photography at any shutter speed, providing more creative freedom, such as capturing images in bright sunlight.

Enhanced monitor and viewfinder

The GFX100RF is equipped with a new 8 cm (3.15-inch) tilting LCD monitor featuring 2.1 million pixels and an updated user interface.

To improve the shooting experience, the display of recording icons has been adjusted to match the 3:2 aspect ratio of the monitor.

The high-resolution electronic viewfinder, with 5.76 million pixels and 0.84x magnification, provides a clear and accurate image, offering the best possible view of the subject.

Additionally, the Surround-View function defines the capture area based on the chosen aspect ratio by displaying semi-transparent zones or lines. This feature can be easily activated or deactivated with a lever while using the electronic viewfinder, simulating an optical viewfinder with a frame that shows more than just the actual image.
