The XCD 4/28P: Exquisite, Lightweight and portable
Measuring 43.5mm in length and weighing 245g, the XCD 4/28P is one of the lightest and smallest lens in the Hasselblad X System. This portable yet powerful lens allows you to capture the world in the palm of your hand.
The lens continues the innovative design language of the XCD Series lenses, featuring a metal body and a focus ring delicately engraved with a Hasselblad “H” pattern. This design element signifies Hasselblad’s ongoing legacy of exquisite craftsmanship.
Unparalleled optical performance, immense details
Capturing a classic concerto of light and shadow starts with the lens. The XCD 4/28P features an optical structure of nine elements in eight groups, including two aspherical elements and one ED element, ensuring excellent imaging and suppressing chromatic dispersion.
This compact yet powerful lens meets the resolution requirements of 100 million pixels, providing sharp, high-precision images from center to edge.
With a 22mm equivalent focal length and F4.0 aperture, this wide-angle lens easily captures nature, street culture, and urban architecture. Its 22cm minimum focusing distance and 1:6 magnification allow for detailed close-ups of flowers, cuisine, and more.
Stepping motor and focusing lens group
The XCD 4/28P features a linear stepping motor and a lighter, smaller focusing lens group. When paired with the PDAF technology of the X2D 100C, the focusing lens group quickly reaches the focusing position and achieves a precise stop. This ensures fast, accurate, and responsive focusing, allowing you to capture your scene even before pressing the shutter.
Fast leaf shutter
The lens’s small but powerful leaf shutter supports shooting with flash synchronisation at all shutter speeds, with flash synchronisation up to 1/4000s. Shoot with flash in strong sunlight to capture dynamic subject juxtaposition, highlighting your subject while darkening the background.
