176° between 40 cm and infinity
The Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 ASPH. lens is easy to use and allows you to get as close as 40 cm, without compromising on performance or accuracy. This is thanks to Leica’s specially designed double cam gear, which almost doubles the rotation angle of the distance ring compared to the previous model, now at 176°.
This larger rotation angle ensures precise and confident control over the entire focusing range. For distances up to 70 cm, focus is adjusted as usual using the rangefinder on all digital and analog M-cameras. Beyond 70 cm, the focus can be fine-tuned between 70 and 40 cm using live view on the screen, the Visoflex viewfinder, or the Leica FOTOS App.
More possibilities with the same compact design
The new Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 ASPH. features an extended minimum focusing distance, an integrated lens hood, and improved bokeh with eleven aperture blades. All these upgrades were made without increasing the lens size, offering more possibilities in the same compact design.
